I remember Bethel in early 80's. No one would know me by my name now but, at that time I went by the name of Jerry Beasley, Jr. and the nickname of "Skipper" Beasley the older stepson of Joyce (Shedd) and her two sons Mark and Terry. I can't really say much about my time there except I felt a little out-of-place being a teenage rebel 😁. I'm not really sure why I'm posting this expression. I guess if there's any thought behind it, one can't remain hidden forever. I guess I can relate to Pastor Brian as we both lost our dads only a year and a half maybe 2 years apart. When my dad (Jerry, Sr.) passed away in 2017, I realized I didn't have a dad anymore no matter what I thought about him. Anyway, I still think about Bethel from time to time and wonder about the health and well-being of the people there. Hello Joyce if you're still there. Memories, you can always have them but you can't always forget at least and not be honest about it. Shalom.
