My mom has lived in Bayou Vista now for over a year. The staff has been wonderful to her and she has made friends with many of them. My sister and I are her primary visitors and we have had few issues with her care. Generally, she has been well-cared for needing 24/7 assistance and nursing. The only real issue is they seem to be terribly short staffed on the weekends. As the year has progressed there is a noticeable decline in staff overall. Eagle’s Trace is one of the better places in Houston for elder care. I can’t imagine what it is like in some of the less appealing facilities.

My grandpa was in the Bayou Vista continuing care. The nurses desk was always empty. Even when I called, I could never get anyone on the phone at the nurses desk. This happened frequently when I was there. If I was trying to get some help or ask a question, there was never anyone there! Once when he first got there, he had a dirty diaper (which he said hadn't been changed in quite a while) - I couldn't find anyone to change him, so I did it myself! I would not recommend leaving your loved ones here.

Yes
You buy your apartment then about 3000$ or more depending on meals etc
Free WiFi in the front and in the lobby but not in the Resident room
My parents live there in an independent living apartment. There is a medical center that the residents use (2 doctors on staff) and the center takes Medicare. Not sure why you're asking g about Eagles Trace taking patients, as it is a senior living community, not a nursing home.
