Great selection, great service, friendly staff!

I had heard such great things about this shop, so my daughter and I stopped in last week during our own personal yarn crawl from Florida to Western NC. While they do have beautiful (and expensive) yarns, we were disappointed in the reception we received. Although we did make a purchase, we would probably have bought more had Danny and her staff been more courteous and helpful. Out of the seven yarn stores we visited during our three days, Black Mountain ranked lowest in friendly atmosphere. Sorry 😢

Fabulous yarn shop. Great selection of hand-dyed yarns. Helpful staff. Spacious. A joy to shop here.

I’m sorry we don’t. Thank you for checking with us. Donna
Everyone is required to wear a well fitting mask that covers your nose and mouth and use our hand sanitizer upon arrival. We have a 10 customer limit in our shop at a time.
I know you can definitely order by phone; they don't have an online shop with inventory you can browse but if you have an Instagram account, that's a fantastic way to see what's in stock...the account is very active, new shipments are posted when they arrive along with ideas of yarns in stock for new, trending or popular patterns, customer and staff projects made with shop yarn, etc. Or--if you're looking for something specific--you could call and ask if they have anything along those lines; Donna and co. are so incredibly helpful and kind.
You might want to contact the store directly. This is more of a community forum and the store owners/employees might not see it here. (they did recently post a Local Yarn Shawl in green. The pic before is a Slice of Light by Sosuknits in blues.)
