I was passing through the area and the place was quiet busy when I arrived. I figured I was in for some outstanding food considering the amount of patrons there that day. There wasn't a lot of good flavor, nor anything that would bring me back here. I consider it very much run of the mill barbecue. If you're looking for very ordinary standard fare barbecue, this would be the place.

I decided to order the pitmaster sampler platter with fries and a cup of chili. Tasted all little of them. Liked all meats! With sauces. Cornbread needs a bit tastier...probably with honey butter. Just a bit suggestion. Chili is a ok...can add oyster crackers or rice and cheese. Will go again for sure. Waitress friendly and able to gesture in communicating with us as regulars!! Mahalos!!

Honestly great. A very cute outdoor space. Extremely friendly staff. They brought out every sauce they have, to sample. The pulled pork was a perfect mix of crispy bits along with juicy and tender, flavorful meat. Potato salad was well done, and the onion rings had a legit batter. I’m just sad that I accidentally left my leftovers box on the table :(

Mookies is a fan favorite in my office and we try to go as a team at least once a month. This is a restaurant that you have to come back to multiple times because there are so many great options, that you need a few visits before you determine your favorite dish. One of my buddies and I like to go and get a different entree each time and split them, so we can try and work our way through the menu. The appetizers are awesome, it seems that the friend mac and cheese balls tend to the be the biggest hit with our group. If you’re a salad person, be prepped to get one of the largest salads you ever had, and be ready to take some home. No joke, it’s a full size salad bowl that most people would prep for the table when guests are Coming over to their homes. As for the entrees, all the bbq entrees are awesome. They speak for themselves, but lately, I’ve been working my way through the sandwiches. I love their chicken cordon bleu, that comes as a frequent special, the brisket grilled cheese is out of this world and picture with this review, and I cannot remember what the other special is I posted above. Possibly a steak and cheese with onion rings in it. Whatever it was, it was amazing, I’ll edit and add the name if I can recall what it was. But if you’re in the area and need a bbq place to try, mookies is your place to go.
