Didn’t catch the name of the inspecting officer for my motorcycle, but it was relatively quick and painless, and he and I had a good conversation about his past bikes and riding. Only real complaint was that it was 95° and the lobby was closed, but understandable in the current situation.

If it's "Salvage" it needs inspection, if it's "Rebuilt" you should be good to go.
No, your mileage on the vehicle compared to the mileage on the salvage title will NOT be an issue. However, it is not legal to drive on a salvage title except to and from an inspection facility the day of your appointment. See you soon and stay safe!

Yes, you can get it inspected but you will need receipts for any major parts that have been replaced. Bumpers, fenders, hood, tailgate… tell them you bought it already fixed.
It's not an issue as long as you have all the receipts. The title should be in your name. You can type in the vin# and see pictures of the vehicle at the auction in its wrecked condition. Make sure you have receipts for all major body parts, bumpers, airbags,etc. Hope this helps.
You will have to transfer the Salvage Title into your name as Salvage title with the court paperwork you have. Once it is in your name, you can choose to sell it before it’s inspected or after it’s inspected. After it’s inspected, it will be issued a Salvage REBUILT Title by the title department.
You will have to have a salvage inspection. To schedule that, purchase a Vehicle Inspection Receipt from your local BMV and you can schedule online with the salvage title in your name. It is best to get the receipts, for major components, from whomever fixed it. If that isn't possible, then you will need to be able to prove it was fixed before purchasing it.
