I like Black River. They are cheaper than the others and they have a Budget Billing program.
That Walker Girl
I am a disabled veteran and I've had this service for a year through a program that pays my light bill. Well the check didn't process on time and they cut my lights off knowing that the program pays the bill monthly. My fish died and I cried begging them to cut it back on and they refused to help me and my children. It's cold and I can't believe they treat Veterans like this. If I could get another company I would. Heartless cruel

We had Black River for 9 years and lost power maybe 5 times in that period. Service to our house was outstanding.

Been with them 15 years and never had any issues

Santee Cooper has a transmission line got out for a bit. Power will be back as soon as they resolve it.
Yes, but it does not give change. It also accepts Visa and Mastercard.
Go to Black River or call them and they will replace it.
What is the horsepower of the pump?
Why is the light bill to high
Does a kilowatt of 0.105 ever drop to 0.9
You can go into the building but you have to wear a mask
You might want to call Black River if that's who is supposed to send u a check. I always say... Go to the source to get the right answers.
Drop box
I believe the minimum is $10, but it does apply automatically.
You can call their outage line at 1-844-431-BREC
I'm not sure they cover a wide area I think they do.
U can call the company
Black River won't be able to do that. Anything on your side of the meter they're not licensed to handle. You'll have to try to do it yourself or you could get an electrician or an HVAC person to do it.
No, if you're negative for two days in a row you'll be cut off. But it just has to be more than zero. Once you're cut off there is a minimum amount you have to pay up to. If you pay before you get cut off you only have to bring your balance positive.
Yes they do
You can! They will have to be separate accounts, though. Which means you might have to pay a deposit for each depending.
I went thru something similar & found they don't always read the meters every month; most are estimated every other month depending on many circumstances. Occasionally but rarely, they can become behind in reading the meters too. Such as when our weather has been very stormy, we've had black ice & some years when our storms have been so bad, they've closed schools & roads. If it's just a regular season, the only suggestion I can offer you, is to call them directly, explain your situation & listen for their response to this. Then report back on here so those of us who've read your question & wondered for sure, what exactly they have to say regarding this, especially if it were to happen to any of us in the near future; that would be very helpful! But I hope I gave you a little bit of insite on the subject. Take Care, JLynnB P.S. If it won't let you post a response, just post it as if i
When you cancel services, they'll mail it to you. It took mines a week
