I didnt stay. Just talking to them on the phone was enough to make me feel like I dodged a bullet. Called to see about reservations and was treated very rudely.

Many seasonal campers but as a weekend visitor I felt very welcome. Variety of activities. Decent restaurant on site. Nice pool! Not fancy but well kept. Sites were nice sized.

Its a nice campground, with alot going on. We have been here several times, and always enjoyed our stays. This trip were not too satisfied. We were placed on the open side of the grounds, in spot 332, under a large walnut tree. The site is very narrow, as they all are over here, and sloping slightly in between sites. We have literally 4’ of flat ground next to our unit before the slope begins, so our picnic table is on a slant. Whats worse is the neighbors sewer hookup is 2’ from the corner of our table. Not exactly what you want while eating. We paid $83 a night for full hookups, but wont use ours because our sewer hookup is UNDER the other neighbors picnic table. I’m slightly frustrated about that. Last night we had some gusty winds that had golfball sized walnuts raining down on us as we headed for shelter… Terrible layout over here, and undersized crammed in sites. I will not take another site in this row. Aside from those gripes, we still like the grounds. EDIT. We spoke to the manager, and they offered us a different site, or a $20per night for not using the sewer hookup. We decided to stay put since it was only for one more night. A reasonable solution, and we were satisfied with it. Our neighbor in 333 decided to change sites for fear of the walnuts damaging their skylights, however. Had they done that earlier, we would have hooked up the sewer and avoided all the hassles.

Questions & Answers

Are they open year around?

Nope

Did your campground change to RV and cabin only? I no longer see a tent option available, yet I see tent spaces still on the map. I camped here in my tent last year and loved it. Staff was super nice and helpful.
