-100000000/10. I called in concern of a friend of mine, and cps went to the house, talked to the parents and left. nothing was done and the abuse got even worse. you guys have to stop believing the parents lies they are manipulators. believe the children for once.

Child protection in Hennepin county was more then loving towards me! I just completed my court hearing for "child in need of protection services" I gave birth to my 3rd child May 2021 and immediately was to have my parental rights terminated per MN Statute 260c.301 because of my previous involuntary termination of my parental rights to 2 other children. Today I have over 5 years of sobriety and live a different life. Erin Schoenecker worked my case and had been assigned to investigate and ultimately be in charge of carrying out Statue 260c.301. Hennepin county had jurisdiction and legally could have taken him from me when Erin first entered my home to investigate. My baby was at the time 6 days old. Erin chose to let him stay with me and asked me to provide a U.A. that day. Erin gave me enough details but never once put fear in me. She chose to allow me to have peace and not fear, she chose to put her all in and she investigated everything. She advocated for me and was able to change the paperwork "termination of parental rights" to "child in need of protected services" My baby is 10 months old today. Erin & child protection has been working for me to keep the rights of my child when by law it states I am to have my rights terminated. Hennepin County CPS went ABOVE & BEYOND. Erin was able to get her team to agree to transfer the motion from "termination of parental rights" to "child in need of protected services" which allowed me to keep my rights to my child. Today we appeared in court and the entire motion was dismissed. CPS is there to protect, you hear negative things and see negative reviews but that is because the people who are being negative are not living a positive life. On paper I appear to be a monster. In person I am far from a monster. If it wasn't for the loving staff CPS in Hennepin county has hired then I would not have the chance to be a mother again. ALL GLORY TO JESUS!!!

Questions & Answers

How do you respond to the article from the Star Tribune "house of horrors hid in plain sight?" So unbelievable!!!

Totally believable. CPS Investigator Kelly Vogel told me that she got a report about my children who were stolen. Kelly Vogel refused to contact the police to report she found my children. Instead, she called and left a voicemail saying she met my kids and they told her they felt safe. So, Kelly Vogel closed the CPS investigation, ignoring medical records of broken bones, felony deprivation of parental rights, medical neglect, severe psychological and emotional abuse, and sexual abuse. As long as the kids know to lie and tell the social worker everything is a-ok, the abusers can continue abusing the children! CPS is a waste of tax payer money! These adults cannot do the simplest job of protecting children from abuse abd neglect. The more reports, the lazier they get. It's almost like they are a scam! Get paid $30 an hour to visit children, write a sentence to put in a file until the prosecutor asks for the file.

Do grandparents have to go through foster care classes to take in their grandchildren?

MN Statute 257C.02 requires that any person requesting custody of a non-biological child be eligible for a foster care license. The idea being that MN law protects children from being placed in unsafe, abusive homes. But if you get Judge Robben or Judge Daly, they both violate constitutional rights, ignore federal and state laws and seem to enjoy giving children to strangers with records of punching babies in the face or other maltreatment findings. CPS and MPD suck at filing criminal charges against adults who violently attack children. Instead they open investigations and when the kids says they are safe, CPS closes the investigation. Apparently going by legal documents and credible witnesses means NOTHING to a CPS Investigator. I don't know a single child that is abused and KNOWS they are abused, like that's just their normal. We need to stop allowing government to waste tax payer money on useless adults who refuse to do their job of protecting children from abuse and neglect.
