Mary Jo’s moods are mercurial and her decisions arbitrary. She does wonderful things for people, but if they displease her or disagree with her will kick entire families out of Mary’s Place with no stated reason and a two hour notice, making them homeless once again. So, toe the line and NEVER ask questions!

Surprising experience on my first visit. The caring and good vibes are an ambient atmosphere as soon as you walk in the door.

yes. long lines. but so many hurting people. we dont just walk up to the front desk and demand to be served. serving the poor takes time and patience. imagine how Mary Jo feels on her feet for years helping us broken souls. 🌹👏🏻 i will wait all day if the need is great. #Grateful

You bring items to Sharing and caring they have a door by loading dock you knock they process and give you donation slip

She's been self sustaining as long as she has been there. She does not receive nor will she take any government funding. No one tells her how to run her show!

Go there and speak with maryjo about volunteering and she will put you in the right direction. They are closed on Friday's.

Mary joe speaks to people from around 10.30 till 11.30 aprox. She prays as you tell her what you are asking from her and what she receives back from above decides weither or Not she will help you. She helps less than a fourth of the people each day. She has limited funds to give and she is told who to give too from above

Best to try a thrift store like Unique or Savers. There is huge Goodwill in St. Paul on University.

I have no idea lol i went there on tuesday and it was horrible long lines just to be told they cant help didn't even get to talk to mary joe

I was there for breakfast a couple of times and that was at 9:00 am and lunch is at 11:00 am. The food is really really good, they do not serve pop. They only serve milk or water and maybe juice. I do believe they are closed one day out of the week though

Most likely no. If a funeral home has over $7,000 towards the funeral there is no reason the funeral will not happen and the funeral home will work with you for the remaining for 475 and that is what Mary will question for sure..

That's not wat they do they help with social services. Homelessness, food, meals. Help you get state ID's birthcertificates, clothes stuff like that, help you find shelter maybe. Trtransportation if your stranded and you don't live around this area. Not helping people move anywhere. Unless you are there causing problems the security guards will move you around up out of there. That's it and that's all. Good luck.
