Nice thing about archery shops vs gun stores, all dedicated archery shops are happy to work with you demoing the equipment to figure out if archery, and their staff is for you. Recommend you shop a few stores and gravitate to the location and sales rep that feels right. Archery Country was the third store I went to in the first full day of a weekend long trip to the cities (I live in a rural town, despite the heaven on earth there, not all services are available). Worked with Dan at the end of that first day, and returned the following day. His recommendations for gear to fit my desire to shift into bow hunting from prior training in target archery, all panned out with my prior research, and what more was done that first evening. He earned the business, and we spent 6hrs the next day picking out components, and dialing in the bow. Have to love it when the sales rep points out that spending more money to get one extra feature, just isn’t worth it, for what I want the bow for. He listened upfront, and he is to be commended for his honesty and attention to detail. They have a huge selection of parts for recurve, compound, and cross bows. $1800 GPS Garmin X-bow sight, check. $3500 Ravin X-bow, flagship Mathews bows, starter long bows, full line of Sitka outerwear, e-mountain bikes, 20yr range, check - check - check. Have called back three times in three weeks with questions and spoke with Dan, Jack, and Keith (I think), and all have been just as happy to help as Dan was when selling me the bow. They are all full-time employees and love the lifestyle. Full mix of patrons came thru when my bow was being built, and all were all genuinely happy to chat. Was a great experience and would highly recommend them to anyone looking to get into archery. Have already passed on the experience to some older hunter friends of mine who missed the fact that over age 60 in MN, u can hunt with a X-bow for 15 weeks, vs 2 with a rifle. ‘Nuff Said!

I Order a dozen arrows almost over 2 weeks ago. They had a shipping issue and the package was returned to archery country and I was never notified that they were having issues. I Called the day fedex claimed they were going to be at my house and nothing the tracking info had no updates other than a shipping label made and was asked if I still wanted the arrows after I already paid for the shafts so of course I wanted the arrow I had already order components for the arrows from a separate company . So they told me that they would ship them out for 2 day shipping after having the first issue. Here we are 3 days later still no shipping info from the second shipment and no arrows yet. Called the day before was told I would get a call back to let me know we’re my arrows are at in shipping never received the call. 4 phone calls in this period of time and still no arrows or atleast shipping info. My guess at this point is they never put on website that they were out of stock and didn’t have the heart to tell me.
