Thanks for the questions. No, the permit test is not a part of class. That is administered by the Mn DMV, but you can take it online at home. Once your child finishes class, you will have them take the permit test. Once they pass that, you will apply for the plastic permit card. Once that arrives, you will visit the website and create an account in our BTW system. You will then be able to schedule the first BTW lesson at that time. We suggest at least 20 hours of practice (or about 2 months) before you schedule the first lesson. We would like to see the student within the first 4 months of having a permit so we can make sure we can correct any bad habits they may have.

I believe you can split it into two, between lesson one & two. You will need to be fully paid before you start you lesson 3. I however would call for a more accurate answer.
