Been comming to El Torino since Cinco de Mayo. Took us a year and a half to find this place. Best Mexican food in the Roanoke area. And weve been trying alot. Very authentic what I call wet mex. They put sauces in the dishes that are very good. Only place I've found that has poillo en mole on the East coast. Mexican food this area is mostly dry and tasteless. Not here. Lived on the West coast for decades and been to Mexico several times. These folks know how to cook it right. Service is excellent. Salsa bar is great. And I get to use my limited Spanish.

This is our new local Mexican food outing. The food is authentic, hot, and flavorful. The best start is the salsa bar and very warm chips. Need to get the name of the gentleman that typically waits on us. He’s always so kind and provides great service.
