I was in the market for an improved office chair so I decided to try my luck at Commonwealth Business Furniture. We drove down there one Thursday and realized after the fact that we needed to make an appointment due to COVID-related hour changes (the information was fairly far down on their homepage) because there was nobody in the office at the time. I was slightly frustrated I drove to that end of town to see nobody in sight but that was partially my fault. I called and left a message and Rob got back to me shortly after getting home. He let me know they were having some staffing issues and he’d call me back the following Monday or Tuesday to confirm when they’d be in the office. Roll around to next Tuesday and Rob calls me back and says I can come in that day. I drive back to their facility and am immediately greeted by Rob. Rob was very enthusiastic, friendly, and gave me an honest rundown of the chairs they had in stock without trying to sell me on their most expensive options. He happily answered any questions I had and, once I had chosen a chair, quickly cleaned it up for us and helped us settle it in the car. Overall a stellar experience with a healthy inventory to choose from (and this was after I was told they had sold down a lot in recent weeks). Would highly recommend to anyone looking for furniture for their home office or small business and will definitely return if I need more myself!

Commonwealth Business Furniture is a model business in the Richmond area. They have a very wide variety of office furniture at almost 7,000 chairs and dozens of workstations in-house. Everyone there is incredibly helpful and willing to help you get what you need. I purchased two Steelcase Leap chairs and before I picked them up they were steam-cleaned, wiped down, and the pistons were lubricated. Additionally, John notified me that the chairs have a 30-day money-back guarantee and a two-year warranty. I did have an issue with the pistons hanging on both of the chairs, but when I got in touch with John he offered to either have two other chairs brought to my house (which is forty-five minutes away from the shop) or send someone out to take a look at them. I ended up bringing the chairs back myself because I was in the area and John personally took a look at them. I ended up swapping out for the other chairs but wanted to swap out the backing and armrests on the chairs; John ensured that this was no problem and his skilled employees made quick work of the adjustments. Needless to say John and his employees are devoted to providing quality products, providing a quality customer experience, and making sure that things are done right. They want to make sure that you are absolutely satisfied with your purchase.
