Did a fantastic job in chopping down a Henry octagonal barrel and threading it plus shortening the magazine tube. The rifle was brand new with walnut stock and case hardened receiver and they had to do a complete disassembly and reassembly and did that with no nicks or dings to the rifle. Also took the time to search multiple thread protectors to find one that matched the knurling of the existing magazine nut. Paid great attention to details. Great work.

Highly recommend. Amazing customer service and they went above and beyond helping me find the replacement part at a great price. Saved me a lot of money. Thank you so much 😁

Very personal, great service, professional work at a very reasonable price. Took a Browning A5 with stuck choke, 357 Mag revolver with cylinder release problem. Made appointment, both guns unexpectedly fixed in less than 45 minutes. Wife and co-owner explained procedures and how to avoid a repeat of the issues. Based on the number of guns in for more complicated repairs it is luck we have this company within 100 miles.

Double H Gunsmithing does not buy, sell, or trade handguns at this time. Please give us a call, and we'll be glad to recommend a gunshop within your local area where you can purchase a Smith & Wesson pistol.
Double H Gunsmithing is a licensed Class 3 dealer of suppressors and other NFA-restricted firearms, but we do not offer direct sales at this time. If you are interested in buying a suppressor, consider using our Silencer Shop affiliate link at www.silencershop.com/dhg where you can arrange to transfer your suppressor at our shop at no additional charge. Suppressor transfers are available to North Carolina residents only.
Double H Gunsmithing does not sell factory firearms, but we do offer custom-built bolt action rifles for long range competition and hunting. If you are looking to purchase a handgun, shotgun, or non-custom rifle, please give us a call, and we'll be glad to direct you to a traditional gun store in your local area.
We are happy to order any parts you need once we have received your firearm for servicing. For more expensive components, we may request a 50% up-front deposit on the cost of the part. Parts are sold only when they are needed to complete a job on a firearm currently being worked on at our gunshop. We do not offer gun parts to the general public and we do not sell any parts for self-service. To order parts for self-service, we recommend checking with an online retailer such as www.brownells.com or www.gunpartscorp.com.
We frequently reblue and restore Browning Auto 5's as long as they are not too far gone (we try to steer clear of "tomato stake" guns and guns with excessive pitting). We can reblue, re-checker, refinish your wood, and repair the gun, replacing broken or missing parts as needed. Turnaround time will most likely be 10-12 weeks after we have the gun in hand.
Stocks for older firearms can be difficult to find. We do not make our own custom stocks at this time. If you are able to obtain a compatible stock online and bring it to us, we can refinish it for you and perform final fitting work. We are also able to help with most mechanical repairs on malfunctioning side by sides.
We can add action threads and suppressor-ready muzzle threads to most rifle barrels. Our most popular thread pitches are 1/2"-28 and 5/8"-24. We are unable to thread in metric units. If you're interested in a custom-made thread protector or muzzle brake that matches seamlessly with your barrel, we offer those too!
Cominolli appears to offer a gunsmith-installed manual safety kit that works with most older models of Glocks. It requires a permanent modification of the frame. Unfortunately, the kit is currently out of stock with out supplier and the Cominolli manufacturer website has been down for some time. We're not sure if Cominolli is still in business or if the kit will become available again.
