Excellent Bridge with family park. Bridge is in excellent shape. Historical signs with history are showing age. Only complaint is lack of handicaps access to bridge. There is the old road to bridge that could be used Handicap parking area.

Absolutely worth the drive

Back when this was remote I was a teenager and we would camp here. So glad to see the bridge preserved.

Great place to take your kids to a play park but we were looking for walking trails which we were disappointed based on Google. We made the best of it reading history about Mr Poole and hanging out on the large rocks listening to the water taking in the sun on a cool fall day. 🍂💦🪨☀️😎

Yes fishing is allowed. Very tranquil place that is great for the entire family
Yes! I had mine there!
Absolutely!! Just be careful of the current and the rocks can be slippery!
Their are areas u can fish but I think it is a catch and release fishing

Some of them are paved and with gentler slopes. You can get pretty close to the water and to the bridge a well.
After you cross the bridge you will see a trail to your left and one to your right as well as a short trail in front of you. To the left is a path to the small set of rapids. The right takes your by the slower moving river. Straight ahead is another path to the lower area of pools mill. There use to be longer trails but the have been blocked off. It is still a great place to visit. Just explore and see what you find. Fun for the whole family!
You can but during the warmer months it will likely be too crowded with folks in the water.
No. It is a public park ran by Forsyth County Parks &Rec. Dept. There are weddings, prom photos, and family sessions. Very scenic and historical.
You can pay to rent it but as long as it's not being used you can picnic there
