There is an red cross donation site at 501 W Market St, Akron, OH 44303..the staff is awesome. Hope this helps
The American red cross does install smoke detectors. If you need a fire extinguisher you can purchase those at any of the big stores..like Home Depot, Lowe's, Menards or even Tractor Supply
