Great experience with SML Boat Rentals! Neither my husband or I had ever driven a boat before. The staff at SML Boat Rentals were super friendly, and taught us all we needed to know as first timers! The boat was in excellent condition and easy to learn to operate! I highly recommend getting there early!! We arrived at 8:30 for a 9am start time and it was 9:30 when we were set loose. They were not at all busy and were not slow. It just takes a while. I’d recommend arriving an hour early. For first time boaters the signage on the lake was small and really took some getting use to to find our way around, but that’s the lake, not the boat rental company. Wonderful experience!

Great experience renting a pontoon boat. Organized and efficient rental process once you arrive to pick up your boat. The boat we rented was fairly new and in very good working condition. Pontoon boat is a wonderful way to spend the day on Smith Mountain Lake. We will be back to rent from Mitchell’s point SMLonce we return to Smith Mountain Lake.
