I made an appointment online thru my insurance carrier's website for a eye exam. I had no idea it was Visionworks, and definitely did not know their location was in a mall. I was expecting a one on one exam with a Doctor in a private office! I walked into the facility and went up to the desk. I was greeted by the person at the desk and told to fill out the exam sheet. I told her I had completed it online before hand, and she stated it was not in their system. I told her no big deal, I would fill it out. After waiting about 40 minutes, I was brought back to the the exam room. It was then explained that the exam would be done there, and the doctor would be virtual. After several exams the doctor came on screen to advise me of the results, and give me a prescription. Overall, the experience was not what I expected, but it was thorough, and the virtual doctor answered all of my questions!

Sitting here thinking of walking out. My appointment was for 12:15 ok that's ok. Another guy came in said his appointment is at 12:30 but he complained saying he needs to go and was told he's next. And on top of that I wanted a glasses and contacts eye but was told contacts required a $50.00 fitting,fine if I hadn't been wearing contacts for almost twenty years. Takes less than a minute to pop both in so a fitting really. My wife and I get glasses every year but not with Vision works anymore.

I had a horrible experience. I had an appt at 245 and i sat there for an hour before i was called. This will be my last time ever spending any money with vision works....ever! They are the worse! Absolute worse! Rated zero!

We had an amazing experience getting my son's eye exam and glasses. My son has CareSource insurance and it isn't easy to find an eye doctor, so I was thrilled we didn't have to drive into Atlanta for his exam. He has worn glasses since he was 3- so we are old pros at how it all works. However- this experience was much better than expected. The ladies that work there seem to have a great working relationship and were wonderful to work with. We had some insurance questions and they were able to answer them knowledgeably. There was basically no wait time for the first set of tests. My son was surprised at the amount of testing they did- a bit different than some of the past exams. But it was because they had a virtual "refractionist" and doctor. After the tests, he had to wait only a few minutes before being called back and continuing the exam. The Doctor came on the screen and could see us as well- she went over the pictures of his eyes and we could see what she saw- she explained the pictures and made it easy to understand what exactly was going on. He did have some questionable test results and she immediately referred us to a specialist to make sure what they were looking at. I think the hardest part of the appointment was picking out the frames he wanted. I think he tried on 50 pairs and the young lady working with us was excellent in helping him find "just what he wanted". The other ladies were also super friendly and didn't mind sharing opinions and suggestions for his desired look and the whole visit was a good experience. Our las experience with a different eye care place in the mall was a nightmare, so I was a little nervous going in to the appointment-It was great. I highly recommend this location.
