If you need the marriage certificates quickly, this is not the court to apply for the marriage license, nor for the certificates, since they take more than 7 weeks to arrive, and if you need the marriage certificates soon, this court is not the one recommended.

Thursday was the First time I ever been to this court for anything and It was the best experience. Every officer upon entering was very courteous. I had the pleasure of being serviced by Mason in the minor probate court division. Upon arrival he assisted me right away. Mason was a breathe of fresh air with Exceptional Interpersonal skills, Professionalism, patience, promptness along with an amazing sense of humor all while assisting me with my petition. Before coming to visit this courthouse, I had to contact them by phone (press 0… I think her name was Barbara, pardon me if wrong.. she was very thorough and kind and I had one returned call! I received All the information needed upfront in details to petition a minor guardian. Every document I was told to bring was every document I needed (nothing more nothing less)and my process. I was In and out in about 1 hour 1/2. Thank you Fulton. County Probate court.

I do not recommend that you apply for divorce in this court, they change your judge and the judge in charge has no record of your divorce papers, they have a total mess that hurts that this is happening in other courts, none of this happens.

You go to the level for gun permits and marriage licenses (2nd floor I think), apply, pay, then go to the police department for fingerprinting.
In Fulton County, it's $71.00 for new applicants and $30.00 for renewals, but it varies by county. Plus, $5.00 to $10.00 for fingerprinting at a police station.

Hi Paris, there is no appointment required and you and your fiance both can walk-in during office time to submit a marriage application. This need to be done before your marriage ceremony. Get it signed by an officiate and submit to get marriage certificate. Hope this helps.

Not right now due to COVID; you have to get your own officiant like a magistrate or justice of the peace. They have a list of folks at the probate court office you can call.

You would need more info...at least a name or both names. Call Fulton County Probate Court and ask for the correct procedure in finding this info. I'm sure it's a matter of public record.
You will need to fill out a short app with a few questions, and pay a fee, but will probably get your copy that same day, if they aren't really busy. Go early (open at 7:30 M-F)
I think name change is Probate Court...because of construction you need to enter the building on the Central Ave. side, go through Security and they will instruct you from there. Go early...they open at 7:30 am. If you go early your wait won't be long.
The expiration date on documents is pretty hard lined. I had to do mine almost 6 mos. in advance because of that 3 mo. wait time. Mine was conducted by FBI for my CC, GBI for my notary.

Take the property title & a certified copy of the death certificate with you. The will doesn't matter if the property was titled joint owners with right of survivorship or if the owners were married. A title of joint owners in common will be more complicated.
