I am so incredibly pleased with the way my wife was taken care of today. From the tech, to the nurses, to the Doctor, the entire staff was so caring and helpful to both of us. My wife came in for (which is not new) kidney stones. We know the pain and what it’s from, just simply need help with the pain and help passing. We saw the Doctor almost immediately and he was so informative and helpful. We are from Florida and we were on a small vacation when this had happened and we were scared about what hospital we would end up at or if the staff would be nice and I am overjoyed with how sweet and helpful they were. THANK YOU!!!

I came to the ER one night complaining of a fall tht i felt left me wirt chest pain and an earache. They did some xrays and told me to see a oral surgeon. I saw one two days later and it was a broken jaw at the jaws neck bone. He said he couldn't do anything for it. The ER staff wass Kristin and others who were fantastic! They were quick and kind and I was in and out in 30 minuts and felt better just knowing that it wasn't a heart attack I was having. Thanks St. Mary's for the quick and efficient manner in which you took care of m e

UPDATE: I did get a sincere apology from St. Mary’s and a promise that I would receive a call from a Physician (so I increased my rating from 1 to 2 stars). The call from a doctor hasn’t happened yet or I might have increased my rating to 3 stars. My biggest hope is that the next person that comes in complaining of something actually gets listened to and maybe even a PHYSICAL EXAM. If the PA asked me to take off my shirt and actually did an exam she would have clearly seen the muscle atrophy in my back and shoulders (better seen from behind). Additionally, if the CT of my shoulder had been done on BOTH sides the comparison would have shown the difference in muscle volume between sides. Since it was only done on the affected side it gave no pertinent information and was a waste of $$. Spent 5 hours in the ER (not complaining about the wait) to be misdiagnosed by a PA and NEVER see a doctor. 14 years ago I was diagnosed with Acute Brachial Plexus Neuritis and treated with high dose steroids. I’m an Oral surgeon myself, so fairly well informed. I let the PA know about my past and thought my right side might be the same thing - muscle atrophy in shoulder and back, numbness in my fingers. She said I looked normal and got a CT with contrast to r/o tumors (there were none). Couldn’t get an MRI as they went home for Juneteenth. I couldn’t convince her to give me 10 days of high dose steroids which “cured” me 14 years ago. Instead she gave me a Medrol dose pack (weaker version of what I really need). My wife and son agree that my right shoulder and back muscles definitely look smaller than the left. Bottom line - don’t go here unless you have absolutely no other choice. She did admit that “they” weren’t very good at this stuff and I should see a specialist. Ok, then why not prescribe me what worked before? Left untreated Acute Brachial Plexus Neuritis can lead to loss of function (and I am a RIGHT handed surgeon).
