Not sure, check nega-bsa.org for info on programming
Yes, you will be a independent scout. The leadership will assign you a campsite with troops. You need to hurry because camp is filling up quickly.
It depends on wether or not your unit is in council or out of council or if yoir group isnt part of the BSA. Call the council office for the Northeast Georgia Council for more info.
WiFi is open at the Admin, Trading Post, and Dining Hall. WiFi does go up and down during camp. As an adult leader, if you need WiFi use it during the scout classes. If you need stronger, reliable signal and strength then I recommend going down to the Chick-fil-A.
The greenies are up at the tent sites. They are not fabulous. As an adult I usually bring my own.
Just the lake!!
Usually they don't inform so much in advance, as that can change depending on group size and any specific needs. Ask your troop leader to contact the staff, if your troop has specific need to confirm the site in advance.
Most kids will be fine with the water. Some mentally can't get around drinking the tap water, so just let them get their water bottles filled from the water coolers at their merit badge class or the big iced ones in the dining hall. Yes it is still the same tap, but they don't notice the difference. The water tastes just fine and there is no after taste. Often it is the container like the nalgene plastic or other water bottle that alters the taste.
IF you have Range certification, then you can contact the Ranger for permission to use the firing range for Shotgun, rifle/bb, and Archery. Based on the time of year, the lake is drained. If you have water certification you can do all the water activities. During Summer Camp they have the Blob on the lake. Go to the CRM website for a list of Summer Camp Classes offered. Their COPE course and Gold Rush course are also pretty cool.
It's different year to year, but has basics for the Scouts and those who need help with swimming
No. Closest one is South Carolina. There are, however, banks in Clayton, GA, which you drive through to get to Rainey.
Its a little better now but limited to a few places. It should be good enough for emails, but I would not upload any thing bigger than 1Mb.
Amazing.
