They have the best interest of all the animals. Excellent care.

Liked the facility. Was not impressed with the cleanliness of individual animal stalls Am hoping that the day I arrived was just a one time thing

Truly cannot say enough about these folks and the work they do! Thank you to Gloria, Heather, and the entire staff/volunteers who were warm and welcoming! We drove from Atlanta to pickup Wally and will be eternally grateful because he is the best dog ever. Sweet, obedient, happy and the best cuddle bug. We are overjoyed by the love he brings to our daily lives. Thank you!

Great place. Really care for the furry rescues. Adopt a pet today, give them a forever home.❤️

My 11 year old volunteers here. You'll have to fill out an application and have you parent or guardian sign.
is it possible for a 13 year old to volunteer
They receive no funds from any government agencies. They depend strictly on donations.
Please call the Humane society right away to see if they can take the cat right away. Sometimes they are full and can't take in anymore animals since they are a no kill shelter. I hope this helps.
Depends. Some dogs are high maintenance and are free to adopt to the right home while others charge a fee. For example, puppies and younger well behaved dogs tend to cost more while older or rambunctious dogs cost less. Probably an oversimplification.
Yes
Yes lots of them
You will have to fill out a detailed form in order to adopt a pet be it cat or dog. I do not know if they have a senior pets or not. I would suggest contacting them to find out if they have senior cats to adopt
I got my 8 month old kitten for $100
There are several folks that help relocate feral cats around the Nashville area. Look for some pet adoption pages on Facebook and one lady in particular, Donna Russell, is always looking for folks to take them in.
I'm not sure exactly what you're asking
I dropped off food to the shelter a month ago. It must be unopened. I called prior and that is what they told me.
Call them and they will give you a time to come in
We only adopted cats there. Fortunately, we haven't had to ask, but it has varied over time and has been very reasonable. Plus the spay/neuter fee which is mandatory.
I'm sure that they would just call for details they also take donations.
Yes we do get golden retrievers but they go very quickly, so there not up for long.
If they don't pm me and I can recommend someone.
Look at local shelters, there were some outside Kroger on gallatin road in Hendersonville over the weekend being given away.
Safe place in gallatin.
I do not think so. But you can come with a parent and brush the dogs or play with kittens and puppies to help socialize them.
I'm not sure. We paid $75 for our cat. It's 10 years old. I'm sure puppies are probably different but they're really nice. Give them a call and they'll answer all your questions.
It varies on how long they have been there and what type of medical care they have received. All dog and cats have been spayed or neutered and are up to date on there shots. #adoptdontshop
I'm not sure if they do
No I'm new in Gallatin. My neighbor took him in but I need to get his meds.
I believe they do. They also have a wish list on their website.
I'm pretty sure you would have to adopt the dog back if someone hasn't already adopted it. That would be something you need to ask the Humane Society.
We have moved and have an older cat that we can not move with us! Everyone says to put her down but she is a beautiful Russian Blue with yellow eyes abd we can not seeing putting her down! Any suggestions?
We allow and would love people to come in and help socialize with the animals.
I'vemessaged with nashville humane society but they didnt seem to concerned about my situation.. but I'm goodlettsville so would that be why?? But not Sumner county in Davidson county of goodlettsville
Yes, correct.
I really don't know, so you have to look on their web site or call. Sorry.
The fee varies depending on what's going on (substantially less than $100), but they're all spayed/neutered and quite friendly and in good health. They let as many of the cats as they can have the run of a couple of playrooms (one for kittens, one for adult cats) so they're fairly well-socialized. With respect to the kittens (which may technically have spent a little time as ferals), being that housecats are instictively fastitious, litter training generally involves just showing them the litter box and keeping it clean for them. Kind if the worst thing I've come to expect of even half-feral kittens is that it takes a couple weeks of not having places to hide from everything and getting used to having kibble around before they stop constantly scrounging and hiding. (So, some "kitten-proofing" of your home may be required.). Adult cats will take to litter pretty quick, but can take months to finally start lounging everywhere like a proper cat.
I have 2 young neutered male kittens. About 8 months. Very active. I'm just not home enough to attention they need. They're brothers. They go together
Yes, but you need to call first to see if they can accommodate them immediately or when they may have an opening.
Sorry to hear that. No calico cats have been surrendered recently, you can go to our FB page and do a missing post with a picture. Also go to the FB page of "Lost and found pets of Sumner county" and add one. Call animal control also.
Yes
The adult cats are anywhere from 0-50 and that includes them being fixed, tested negative for felv/fiv, fully vaccinated, dewormed and current on preventions
