We moved from Texas last summer and the majority of the mexican restaurants in Georgia have a different flavor palate than what we're used to. Some people have told me that in Texas it's more of a Tex-Mex flavor and the restaurants in Georgia tend more towards a Cuban style of seasoning but I have no frame of reference to know if that's the issue. Every couple of weeks we would go out to dinner and try different restaurants to get to know the area. Our favorite cuisine is Mexican food. It's the one cuisine all 4 of us can agree on. My family had been rather disappointed with the local restaurants when we first moved but we finally tried La Parrilla. We have been back many times since. Last night was our best visit yet. We tend to get cheese dip and sometimes a drink or 2 and usually dessert as well. The food is always great but what put the cherry on top was Leah. Leah was our server and she was THE GREATEST! She was always very timely to get the next part of our order or refill our drinks. We're always needing things like extra napkins or asking questions about the menu and she always remembered to bring whatever we asked for on her next trip to our table and explained anything we asked. I fully recommend La Parrilla, especially if you're a Texas transplant. It's not the same as Tex-Mex; the flavors are a little different and they use different cheeses here but it's SO GOOOOD!!
