I have always had helpful and efficient service here when renewing my tags and/or registering my vehicles. There's rarely much of a wait. If this is the first time that you are coming to the tag office, the front entrances are no longer used per some security protocols. The only entrance is to go around the left side of the building. I attached pictures of both entrances. There is plenty of parking around the side and the back of the building. For the tag office, you just go in the entrance and past the security checkpoint. The tag office is the first door on the right.

Bernard, Thank you for the question. The department you are looking for is the Assessors Office and they can be reached at 706-769-3921. The Assessors Office is responsible setting the values on all properties in Oconee County. Once we have the values and the millage rate, which is set by the Board of Commissioners, our office then calculates the property tax bill. First, we need to see if what you are requesting is available. A simple search can be completed at https://eservices.drives.ga.gov/_/ under "Check prestige license plate availability." If what you are requesting is available then you will come into our office to complete the transaction. For a prestige plate the fee for the first year is $90.
