We recently made a trip to Estes Park with our kids (16, 12 & 9). This was the first time the kids have ever gone horseback riding. We did the two-hour ride. This was my husband and my second time with Glacier Creek Stables. They are great and it is such a wonderful time! Anyone looking to go horseback riding--I would highly recommend them.

Glacier creek stables is the highest stable inside the park, it is just opening now (May 25th) because of the snow and freezing conditions, At 8500 ft. the snow and cold comes in early and we have to close mid. September or sooner. Sombrero stables in Estes are open year round, rode there during a light snow in early May - awesome experience..
