driving instructor was very rude and arrogant and kept grabbing the wheel from my hands. i didnt feel very safe driving with her.

They must have their permit for at least 12 months, and be 16 years old. Even more, they must complete the state's required drive time. Teenage drivers must complete 6 hours of drive time with a driving instructor, 50 hours of driving practice (including 10 hours at night).

Teenage drivers can start taking driver's education courses at 14½, but they can't receive their driver's permit until they turn 15. Teen drivers between the ages of 15 and 15 ½ may apply for a Driver’s Education Permit, but only if they have completed a state-approved Driver’s Ed course from a local driving institute and passed the DMV required tests.

The first drive time is done after they have been driving with parents or guardians for 10 to 15 hours. The second and third drive times need to be completed before the end of the contractual agreement.
