No appointment needed but you will have to wait in line... The receptionist right inside the door will take your cell number and text you when it's you're turn... So you can wait in your car after you have checked in. Usually less than 30 minutes wait time

It is all county by county. The address the vehicle is being registered in must be in Denver regardless of person or business. It is Denver motor vehicle for a reason. Whatever you're registering must be registered in Denver to be helped at any Denver location.
I had a similar disappointment. Took off early to get there before closing, but last customer is granted entrance at 2:30. Took a.m. time off the next day and it was a much better experience. I see temporary tags going back to 2020 almost every day. The closures are I think for 4 Fridays. Not consumer friendly
Yes u walk in and get a number and they will text u in about 45 min is approx wait time. They are pretty smooth here

Yes this location does walk-ins. You do have to check in inside and they will text you when your number is called
It is all walk in. Be in line by 230pm to be served. If there is a line you will be texted to wait in your car as Denver can only allow 10 people in the lobby at a time. You have 5 minutes from the second text message to come inside. Waiting longer will cause you to miss your ticket number.

Denver motor vehicle does not do drivers licenses. You must go to a driver's license office.
