Beautiful Building. Currently under construction, but they are doing the best they can with the limited resources they currently have. The homeless population has been moving in a bit.

CLOSED CLOSED CLOSED EVERY TIME I TRY TO GO HERE IT IS CLOSED! EVEN ON DAYS IT'S GENERALLY OPEN! OUR TAX DOLLARS AT... ?
CUJO
Convention center for the homeless. Tons of hard core drug activity. Needles left on the floor. Unsafe location. Avoid at all cost.
Dan Burgess
Under remodel, first floor only open, wifi was weak. Hopefully will be better in a year or two.

Yes. If they're all being used, you can reserve one using your library card number. You can use them 1-2 hours, and can ask a librarian to give you more time if needed. The branch libraries usually have more available computers than Central.
Hi Nona - We don't have a general listing of births and deaths in South Dakota. If you know a county name, we might have some records. I would encourage you to simply search a county name in the catalog at www.denverlibrary.org
Your thinking of the Idealab on the 4th floor. Its behind the computer lab against the back wall in its own private room. Its a seriously awesome resource offered by the library. There is always an atyendant to help with projects... They have a 3D printer, Macbooks, Adobe Suite, sewing machine, etc. Hours are weird though, so check the website before going.
There is archive section. Give them a call. I know it's upstairs somewhere.
No
All Denver Public Library locations will close early at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, December 24, and will be closed all day Wednesday, December 25. The Westwood Branch Library will be closed all day on December 24 and 25.
No not that I saw I'm from KC and go there alot. Great library
Hi there, Catherine! Our current exhibit is the "This Land: Paintings by Trine Bumiller" and the "Word | Image | Object: curated by Alicia Bailey, Director, Abecedarian Artists’ Books and Brian Trembath, Special Collections Librarian.
Nope. I worked for DPL. You can join any Colorado county library. You can also return material at any library, not just the one you borrowed from.
Okay!
No cost, card is free.
As soon as I lose all of my teeth. You'll find me hanging out around in the wheel chair stalls on every floor but the 1st and 7th floors.
Don't know what you need to know
I haven't been there recently but good luck getting it back
Mystery Train shows October 14 at Central. I do not see a listing for Down By Law. More info at: https://www.denverlibrary.org/event/mystery-train-1989-r
It took less time to look this up (and all other hours) on their site than it took you to type this question. But it's 9am.
Yes of course!!!
Short-term only, I think. In front of the library on the east side. On Broadway.
It's very big and has a 3d printer...
They don't cost money but you do need to have a library card if you want to spend time on one. Out of state ids work to get computer access but can't get books
Yes, the re e are computers on rhe 4th floor!
The computers are on the 4th floor. There is also a TV with places if you bring your own computer. The Idea Lab (Maker Space) is on the 4th floor too, but has different hours than the library- -check the website for hours. I'm not aware of any food other than coffee bar on the 1st floor. You would have to ask about job signs, but I'd expect no signs allowed.
You'll have to call them directly dear, this is a question and answer form for Google reviewers
Not sure, if it was up to me I would say yes!! Probably best to give them a call
Either Arapahoe or Denver library dropped the ball on your order. Call them both if necessary to check on it. Should have been there long ago. I order materials from other branches all the time. Usually the only reason for a delay is if other people are in line for the material as well. You have to wait your turn.
Yes, it is. You can have a librarian show you how at any Denver library branch. You must have a DPL account. Choose a book & the 'Place Hold' button. During business hours, I'm certain you can have a library assistant walk you through how to do it. You can have the hold sent to a branch near you or near someplace you frequent ... like work.
I live in Lakewood & I was able to get an account. A friend of mine that is in Westminster uses DPL. I got a sticker that went on to my Lakewood Public Library card. You do have to pick up your books or whatever from a Denver Public Library. Some libraries allow you to return at non-Denver libraries, but your checked out items may not be considered checked in until they are received by DPL. If you want to have books from other libraries that you check out from your library, ask about Prospector library loans.
