We stopped here for a quick bite on our way back home from vacation. While we waited for our order to be packed we tried dispensing ice from the soda machine. There was no ice. We went to the counter to ask for ice and were told by whom I believe was the manager (older woman with short hair that had a grey shirt on unlike the young lady who took our order - I think she had a red shirt on) that they had no ice, they ran out of it. Hmmm. I worked in the fast food industry many years ago and remember that one essential machine, the ice machine. So we walked away and added water to the way too sweet lemonade. We ordered two 3 piece chicken tender meals, one mild and one spicy and a chicken sandwich. We didn't check our order until after we left Popeye's. We were in the parked car, facing the restaurant, checking our order. The sandwich had a very small piece of chicken on it that didn't even cover the bun. We received two 5 piece chicken tender meals both mild. As we sat there, we saw a young man stand on a step ladder and pour two buckets of ice into the soda machine. I will not return to this place. I don't like being lied to. I didn't return the meals because I never return an incorrect order and I didn't realize how many tenders there were until after I ate the third tender. I even looked at my receipt to make sure I had not made the mistake while ordering. I didn't make the mistake, they did.
