Myself and at least 3 other people were in the lobby at your West Chester, PA location and told that they wouldnt take our donations. We barely got a "sorry" from them. When he pointed at my name on his paper, I pointed out that my telephone number was right next to it, why didn't I receive a call or email? Looking at reviews, it seems this is a regular issue. Nobody seemed to care that at least 4 of us had given up our Saturday mornings and gas to be told to go back home. This is completely unacceptable.

Got a text less than an hour beforehand that they could not do a Power Red donation as their machine was down. Echoing other reviews, I've never had an appointment canceled at any of the other mobile drives.

I can't count the number of times I schedule and they continuously cancel me. Today was the breaking point. Had a 9:45 whole blood donation appt. which was scheduled weeks ago and after driving 30 minutes and waiting in the lobby almost 15 minutes, a representative told me they were not doing whole blood donations today. The Red Cross constantly emails and calls pleading for a donation but doesn't have the courtesy to honor an appt. Or, at the very least, send a message informing of the issue. Time to move on to another organization that has their act together.

Lazy staff that turned me away because they didn't "see my appointment." When they do actually decide to allow you to donate it's always an incredibly slow, inefficient process.

I would say there is no need; unless he has a history of fainting. He will get his red cells back, so he should be fine. I donate platelets and drive myself.
You would need to get a directed tag from there doctor and bring it with you when you donate
