Dr. Lonnie Resnick is amazing. He gave up his day off just to help me, instead of sending me to ER. He opened his office just for me and my emergency. In a few hours my excruciating pain was gone! He is not only amazing, he is very friendly and nice! I would recommend him to anyone!

Hi Heidi, Thank you for your question. There are many causes of a painful toe including all types of injuries, infection, ingrown toenail and poor circulation. Proper treatment can only be determined after an examination to identify the problem. In the meantime, I suggest elevating the foot at rest and warm soaks with Epsom salts for 20 minutes a day. Also, use wide shoes with good arch support. Please make an appointment with a Podiatrist to get properly evaluated.
