I spent two years at Legacy Crossing with nothing but good things to say about the community, management and maintenance staff. I'm actually so, so sorry I moved. I'd go back in a heartbeat. The only reason I moved- other than needing a little more space was that I'd really wanted a garage.

This apartment complex has been average at best, hovering more closely to bad than good. My apartment was not professionally cleaned when I first moved in. I doubt it was even cleaned at all, there was dirt on the counters and doors, air filters were old and needing to be replaced, the carpet was gross and should have been replaced. Both of my windows face the movie theater parking lot, which is obnoxious and led to me just keeping my blinds shut and living in darkness. I asked multiple times throughout living here if there were other rooms available, but there was little effort made in helping to facilitate that move. When my lease was up previously, I was told there was a different room available for me where the windows would not face the theater parking lot. I expressed interest in signing a new lease to move into that apartment, but Legacy instead filled that vacancy with a new tentant, while keeping me in the same apartment. This price for parking has gone up since I moved in, they added a monthly liability insurance fee (while still requiring you to maintain private renters insurance), and added a monthly fee for package lockers. Packages used to be dropped off at out doors, which was great and convenient. Now they're dropped off at a location where there is a locker. Delivery drivers must find the system confusing, because most of the time there is a giant pile of packages that have just been dropped off near the area, and not actually placed in a locker. These lockers are not friendly for people with disabilities either. There are lockers that are very high up, and lockers that are very low to the ground, those with a disability will struggle to access a good majority of the lockers. You will be forced to have a media package, which is archaic and unnecessary. I do not want to pay for satellite TV or for a land-line telephone, yet I have spent hundreds of dollars on these while getting little to no value for them. Worst of all, this apartment complex attempted to raise my rent 20-40% (depending on how long I signed for) just recently with my lease set to expire. When I brought up my displeasure about this increase, I was told that they could get 50% more if a new tenant moved in, and that I was actually getting a deal. That is failing to factor in that I have now been in the same apartment for a few years. So the wear and tear, along with the issues previously discussed, really leads to me struggling to comprehend this rate increase. I signed my 60 day notice that I will be moving out and informed them of my new address to be, and a few weeks after received a strange voice mail from Legacy asking if I had found a new place yet. They said that if I had not, they would like to offer me a 10% rate increase if I were to stay. Why was this rate not offered to me initially? Why would Legacy wait to make this offer until after I already informed them of my intentions to leave? I was already priced out of my apartment, and forced to find somewhere new to live. It's like adding insult to injury by offering me a better rate after the fact. *Edit* Based on Legacy's response to this post, they seem to have some trouble comprehending my review. I will give them a call to attempt to get Legacy to understand. Thanks for the number.

Legacy Crossing is a fabulous place to live. The management team is outstanding. They immediately handle any problem there may be with a kind word and a smile. The maintenance is also awesome and they work so hard to keep the place beautified. The apartments themselves are well appointed and lovely. They create a very enjoyable and cozy place to live. Of course the pool and hot tub are a huge bonus. Thank you Legacy for all you do and the extra mile you go!!! Jules.

Credit where it's due. I moved here before the management change. It has been a huge improvement. This property is NOT an easy one to manage and they management turnover has been crazy. There's still room for growth, but Alex and her team …Charlaina, thank you so much for all of your feedback. We appreciate the recognition of our team and their commitment to always doing what they can to make sure that you and our residents have the best possible living experience. Please let us know if there is anything we can do for you going forward. Thanks again! - The Team at Legacy Crossing

No. You would have to rent by the month. You may have to sign up for a standard 6-month or 12-month contract.
