This department only operates in the unincorporated parts of Hamilton County. Good luck getting help if there is a loose aggressive dog in your neighborhood.

Tried calling them to remove a aligator snapping turtle and no one answered. So had to remove him from the street myself.

Without further information it is difficult to provide an answer to this question. County Ordinance can be found on Municode or at the animal control page of the sheriffs office.

Generally we require owners to transport their own animals to the humane society. However - if it can be determined that the animal is a danger and the owner can’t handle the animal we may assist.

The Humane Society has a page. The Sheriffs Office doesn’t handle the housing of the animals.
