This place is super picky. Stuff I had was less than a year old, all brand name and they took nothing. Then I looked on their facebook page and it seems if its not sold at Saks they don't want it. I also thought it was weird they don't take maternity/nursing. Other locations I have been to do and always looking for that stuff since its hard to come by.

This place is a joke! Don’t bother washing all your items, organizing them and driving all the way there. I took two separate trips (takes me an hour just to get there) with 3 big bins of clothing, shoes, boots, purses, etc. Most of it was brand new and stuff they were already selling, and they didn’t take any of it. Or even look at over half of it. So I wasted a lot of my time and gas for absolutely nothing. Even called ahead of time to let them know about my items which I was told they would take since they specifically had those items. The workers were extremely rude, even saw me struggling to carry my stuff in and didn’t bother saying hello or even help with opening the door. They acted like they were bothered by having to do their job (which they didn’t even do!) I’ll never come back or recommend this place to anyone to sell or shop! I’ll take my business else where.

The experience was great, the service was ok. But they did not take any of my items, which I thought were stylish and up to par.

Let me just say, I almost never leave reviews BUT I want to spare others from wasting their time and fuel bringing clothes to Clothes Mentor to sell. I loaded up a TON of clothes to sell at Clothes Mentor and Platos Closet. I did a little research beforehand, discovered Platos Closet is better for younger styles and Clothes Mentor is better for more mature styles. I had a good mixture of styles including some younger stuff, so I decided to start at Platos closet. My experience at Platos was great. I was greeted immediately and in and out within just a few minutes. Went back after I got the text, they purchased several items from me and recommended I go next store to sell more items. I start carrying my items next door. No one greeted me. They all remained behind the counter while I struggled a little to get in the door carrying my heavy bins of clothes. I stood there for a minute before a girl at the counter finally asked another girl to come help me. She briefly explained how things would work and I went on my way. Got the text a little while later so I went back in and she looked at me and said “Sorry, we’re gonna have to pass today” Which was very shocking considering I brought in over 200 articles of clothing and shoes, most of which were name brand. So, either she didn’t look through anything, they only buy items that are basically brand new, or they only buy VERY select brands and styles. They shouldn’t advertise that they “buy your gently used clothes”, they should just be honest and say “we buy your recently purchased Old Navy, J. Crew, WHBM, Etc...” I gave 2 stars instead of 1 because the store was at least clean and nice and I didn’t go there shop, just to sell, so maybe it’s good for shopping? I will never waste my time taking clothes in again to sell after this. Complete waste of expensive fuel and time.

Hello! Yes, we do buy clothing! We buy women's clothing in size 00-26, in great condition and current styles (in the stores within the past 1-2 years). We also buy sunglasses, but we do not buy reading or prescription glasses.
Hi Courtney, we do not, most of these styles are a little too young for our demographic. But you might want to try Plato’s Closet!
These might be too fancy for us! Sometimes those high stilettos are tough to sell. But can you bring them in and we’ll take a took!
Hi Frances! Yes we do! And we have a gift card promotion happening now until December 24 - buy a $25 gift card and we'll give you an extra $5 coupon to use in January! You can keep it for yourself, or give it with the gift card!
Hi Seliena! Yes, bring it in and we will take a look at it. We love Michael Kors!
