Interesting story about how it was saved from destruction. Now Alliance school district offices. Several first floor rooms reflect the original use. Elegant staircase, room paneling, chandelier.

I believe that they are open to the public once a year during the Carnation city festival. Check the paper or their website for details. The festival happens the first week of August.
Akron Canton is the closest. You'll probably be routed to Pittsburgh or Cleveland though.
No, I've been there several times and there are no traces or indications that it is haunted.
Yes it's okay, no problems, just be careful in the back part of the castle it's under renovation
