Aracelli is an incredibly talented and lovely person. She has both a practical and an intuitive understanding of where your pain is coming from, and then knows how to release the pain using myofascial-release. I had severe back pain and spasms, and I am indebted to her for getting me out of pain and teaching me how to stay out of pain. I call her my “Back Whisperer”!

Through the many years, after having gone through 4 surgeries: 1 in my neck and 3 in my lower back, I had thought everything possible was done on my back and that that was it, that nothing was successful and that I was destined to live in my agony. I had a fusion, with titanium plates and screws, in both my neck (cervical) and lower back (lumbar). I had undergone traditional physical therapy, heat therapy with heat pads, ice/cold packs, electrical stimulation, cortisone shots, and all types of medicine, such as pain-killers, anti-inflammatories, muscle relaxers, and more. After all that, you too (anyone and everyone) would think that, by now, my back woes would already be resolved and managed. Think again! Something was not working and something was still missing, because I continued to be imprisoned and weighed down by strong symptoms from my bad back, such as chronic pain, discomfort, limited range of motion, stiffness, and more. Doggone, it’s as if my bad back had never been addressed and treated! But it was that it turned out something was indeed missing in my case - what happened to be a most important and essential part of the healing process was missing! I had never experienced myofascial release therapy and that was precisely the vital ingredient that my body was missing. My surgeries all ended up being successful and everything else helped after all, but my fascia was pretty beat up, in bad shape from the trauma and scarring of the surgeries and the many things that for years it had to withstand. My fascia was desperately, urgently screaming for release. That is why I was experiencing all those symptoms. Luckily for me that I eventually FINALLY discovered Aracelli and Southwest Physical Therapy Myofascial Release. All it took was seven 7, yes SEVEN, sessions of her myofascial release therapy for me to be able to realize that my back surgeries were indeed successful and I could finally enjoy a permanent vacation from the symptoms of my compromised back. All the pieces in the journey of my healing process were finally complete with nothing missing. I am so eternally grateful for the healing provided by Aracelli with MFR at Southwest Myofascial Release, that I regularly stop by (about once a month) to say hello and thank them again whenever I'm driving by their clinic. A miracle-worker is what Aracelli is with her healing hands! Myofascial Release Therapy at Southwest Physical Therapy Myofascial Release in Brooklyn is what's up! Can't miss it if you REALLY wanna heal! THANK YOU GUYS!!! BLESSINGS GALORE!!!

Myofascial tension in one area can affect and cause pain in other areas. Since fascia is an interconnected web, the restriction in one area becomes the source of tension to the rest of the body; like a chain reaction
Your individually tailored session will last one hour.
Everyone is unique but we have found that after 2-3 sessions you will feel long lasting changes.
Other types of body work and therapies follow a protocol or a recipe for treating a specific body part. At Southwest we use a wholistic or whole body approach that engages the fascial system. The therapist follows your body’s roadmap to the source of the imbalance, applying treatment along the way.
Fascia is the 3 dimensional web that connects and surrounds every system and cell in the body.
Myofascial Release is a hands on technique that releases and unwinds tension from the fascial system. Trauma and repetitive motions create fascial restrictions that can cause pain anywhere in the body. Watch explanation on Myofascial Release by Richard Harty – YouTube
