This station is HIDEOUS!!! And that is an underestimate. The amount of hate this station deserves is over the top! The station is probably breaking several fire codes, pipes are leaking, and the stationβs tiles are falling off or apart. There are even three abandoned platforms badly concealed. So much is wrong with this station.

Other than the diarrhea stained walls and the toxic air, with the occasional crackhead, I guess it's not too bad. Come at midnight and you might just catch a glimpse of the rare Z train

Depends on your cross-street. Most trains that service Manhattan stop at/near Chambers St: - 4/5/6 & J/Z at Brooklyn Bridge stop (east). - 1/2/3 A/C/E (west). Best of luck!
No, to get to Manhattan from Newark, you need to take an NJ Transit train.
Take the R/W to City Hall station.
