This trail was marked easy, but was a little tricky in spots due to washouts causing the path to be covered in rocks in places. Beautiful views. Nice parking area.

Beautiful hike! Worth the 10+ mile round trip for the views! It gets steep right before the lake and their is a huge waterfall. The trail is hard to see. The hike out is long!!! So be prepared with good shoes, bug spray and sunscreen!

Drive up showed high view of bitterroot valley and at trail head was a little waterfall creek in green foliage. Great place to listen to the water falls and birds. I brought my Airbnb Cozy Cottage chairs they lent. My 90 yr old Dad and I took our to go chicken grill salads from diner in town by teepees. Enjoyed every bite because it had fresh homemade taste dressings. The best 1000 island dressing I ever had. Thank you Montana for making this area accessible for my 90 yr old father!

A really beautiful trail. There are a couple of sidehill sections you should pay attention to, but nothing too scary. The views along the way are phenomenal, with a couple of well-placed benches to enjoy them from. The parking area seemed adequate and has a creek nearby for your dog to cool off in.
