This is the most organized and well run makerspace that I have ever seen. They have some top notch tools there with instructional videos along with plenty of helpful instructors and classes to get people started. Also very reasonably priced memberships.

MakeHaven is hands down the best maker space of the several I have been a part of or toured. The team is dedicated and capable; the space, infrastructure, and capabilities are constantly being expanded; the cost of membership has stayed affordable and consistent; and every effort is made to encourage us, the members, to play an active part in the function & direction of the space. I deeply appreciate this place and consider it one of the very best things about New Haven.

I joined last fall after taking a rug tufting class and haven't looked back. The equipment and availability of facilitators to help you achieve your goals/projects is amazing. The membership fees are super reasonable. I'm so glad I finally bit the bullet and checked MakeHaven out.

We don't do the design work but there are volunteers who give an orientation on how to do design for CNC. The big one we fits a full 4x8 piece of plywood.
No diploma needed. The only requirement is that you be at least 18 years old so that you can sign a liability waiver before using the tools.
