Overall I’m not happy about the experience here. For starters, they have very limited sunglasses options. Also the staff were not very helpful. When I asked for receipt, I was told that it would be emailed to me but I didn’t get it until I called again. Then I was told the same when I asked for a copy of my RX and didn’t get it either. The worst part is that my prescription was pretty bad. Initially my glasses felt okay but when I wore them for longer, they felt weird. I can’t describe what’s wrong but they just felt wrong. Last but not the least, I paid for high index lenses but my lenses are a lot thicker than my previous prescription sunglasses lenses. It was also the longest wait for my glasses to be made I’ve experienced. Wouldn’t come here again.

This place refused to give us our son's prescription for contact lenses after his appointment, presumably bc we werent going to buy the contacts from them. Please find a place with better business practices, and do not go here. The people told us as we were leaving the appointment they would email the rx "right away." 2 days later, we hadn't gotten it, and assumed it was a mistake, so called. First, the person on the phone told us they didn't have our email (that's wrong - we booked it through email). Then the reason they gave us - after a *very* heated phone call, during which the "person in charge" made us feel very uncomfortable with his aggressive, shaming words and demeanor- is that NYS law says eye doctors can't give out contact prescriptions until they have seen people take the contacts in and out. Because the "liability for them is off the charts" (his words). We have looked for such a law, and all we have found are things talking about the opposite - that providers must give the prescription at the end of the appointment. My husband has worn contacts most of his life and can help my son get comfortable with his new contacts, much easier and with greater confidence than if he was trying to learn for 15 minutes at this place. My son is not a small child - he won't have an issue learning how to use contact lenses. The bottom line is that because these guys are deceptive with their practices, we have to take my guy to another doctor now, for a second exam. I'm so disappointed, and upset that my son is the one who is actually losing out here. We also paid a good amount of money, and they charged our insurance. We will see if they do the right thing, and refund all of it. Shame on you. Do better. Or, just give us the prescription and problem solved.

The doctors and specialist are very patient and informative here! I had some confusion with the pricing because of how my insurance was written, but they explained to me very clearly why the charges were that amount and how my insurance works. * I ended up paying $140 for the contact lens fitting and $10 for the glass fitting. I would say it’s on a pricier side but for the experience and their efforts to care for me, I would come back here again.
