I had an amazing time strengthening and training with Danny. There is never a dull moment, appreciate all the knowledge and laughs. This was the best medical support for me and I’m sure for you too! Thank you Danny!!

Dr. definitely knows what's he's doing but with different approach than any other physical therapy. Was able to get back to my bodibuilding career within 10 sessions!!! I highly recommend him and his team, don't waist time going to places where doctors doing the same procedures and not getting you anywhere, telling you to stop doing things you love, or basic movements. Simply put- Danny Shapiro treat pain not temporarily relieve of pain.

As soon as you enter Bernadette make you feel so welcome. I have gone to other physical therapist and had other people in the room but working with Danny he focus fully on you. He pay attention to every single details. He knows what he doing! What's important that he doesn't focus just putting you on machine and walk away. He focus on body moves and stretching. He give you moves that pertains to the problem you'll having. I was so limited, scared and hesitant to do certain things because of my back pain. Now I able to move forward with no fear and hesitation. I definitely recommend!

Prior to coming to Danny, I’ve gone to physical therapy for 7 years post knee surgeries. I was fully set on the idea that I would have limited mobility, arthritis and knee pain for the rest of my life. In the 12 sessions I had with Danny over the course of 2 months I have been pain free. Whenever I had a ridiculous question or if some other pain/ issue comes up , I know that I can email him and count on him to answer rather quickly. He also makes sure that I understand what issue I have and explains what Exercises I have to do and why. He really makes it a very tailored experience with the 1 on1 sessions. While I have never been a fan of homework, his at home exercise plan has also helped and I love that it’s modified weekly/ biweekly as my needs change. I’m beyond grateful for Danny and would absolutely recommend him to anyone that’s struggling with pain !!

Questions & Answers

What should I wear to a physical therapy appointment?

As a general rule, you'll never need to remove large amounts of clothing. But to make your physical therapy session as comfortable as possible, please keep in mind the location of your injury. For example, if you have a knee or lower back injury, shorts or workout pants, and a loose shirt would be ideal. Or if you have a shoulder injury, a tank top would be great. Your physical therapist will always try to remove as little clothing as possible. Sometimes patients ask us if it's easier for us to provide treatment if an item can be removed completely. You are free to make this decision, it's entirely up to you. We want you to be as comfortable as possible.

How long will it take to feel a difference from physical therapy?

There are a couple of ways that physical therapy can help. First, a good physical therapist will ease your worries and address any concerns you have by telling you what the problem actually is. This can usually be done within 20-30 minutes. Next, how fast the actual problem is resolved will completely depend on how long you've had it, your age, how severe it is, etc... The manual therapy skills of the physical therapist also come into play. At Project Physical Therapy nearly all our clients see dramatic results and are very happy with their progress in 2-3 weeks. Our physical therapy treatments often work that quickly.
