Staff was rude and crochety Stayed in room 1. Great view (but with limitations due to direct sunlight in the afternoon). PCH is very loud and there are street racers at all points of the night it seems. Surprisingly comfortable king bed.

Location and price is great! The couple that own are knowledgeable of the area and happy to make suggestions. Room was clean. The only reason I'm knocking a star off is because they refused to hold two small backpacks for us so we could bike before check in time. We were told they 'had no room'. This is a common courtesy any hotel I've visited has obliged.

I came back to visit my old stomping ground for vacation and this hotel is so charming! The hosts are wonderful, the bed is comfortable and the location is perfect. We will definitely be returning in the future. A++ accommodation.

Can’t beat the location of this hotel. So close to the beach and the little downtown area. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. The hotel provides beach toys volleyballs boogie boards and beach chairs. For such an affordable price it is well worth it. Our room had a nice view of the ocean as well. However the property was a little dingy and old. It wasn’t a problem but just don’t like the photos fool you. Also right next to the hotel is a 7-11 and then an open field lined with sketchy apartments which attracts quite a crowd. But once you get through those 2 blocks it’s all shops, the beach, and restaurants. We will definitely be back!
