**REVISION** I would like to post an update. I was contacted by the current manager and was given a unit since I was still in need of one. The rest of the process was smooth. I was explained the issue of why I wasnt able to get the unit beforehand. I have lived here about 1 week and it has been fine so far! Even when my AC wasnt working, I was given a window unit immediately and it was fixed within 2-3 days (It only took that long because it was the weekend). Also, the neighborhood is peaceful! No complaints there. I applied and was approved for a unit. I actually signed the lease 07/17/2022 with a given move in date of 08/01/2022. THE DAY OF MOVE-IN, I received an email asking for me to give the office a call, so I did. I was then told my unit was not ready for move in and they had no accommodations at that time, that the move in date would be moved to 08/08/2022. The office says they have been trying to reach me, but I had no received any calls, voicemails, or e-mails prior to this random one I received on move in day. THIS ESSENTIALLY LEFT ME AND MY 3 CHILDREN HOMELESS as I had already turned in my keys to my prior living arrangement. I had to scramble, with a U-Haul full of everything we owned, to find somewhere for us to go. Thankfully, my coworker lives in Clayton County and had a bedroom to spare for all 4 of us. Mind you, me and my 3 kids are relocating from Coweta County. Since I signed the lease, I'm under the impression the apartment is move in ready on 08/01/2022. I establish utilites, internet and transfer my kids schools and daycare, all for no absolute reason. I receive government assistance for childcare due to my middle child being disabled due to a traumatic brain injury. When you move, you have to update the address and child care providers with DFACS. This is a hassle within itself. And unfortunately, on 08/03/2022, I was advised AGAIN the unit would not be availble on 08/08/2022 either and there was no estimated date on WHEN the unit I SIGNED THE LEASE ON would be ready for move-in. I was never given a reason on what happened or why the unit was not available. This is EXTREMELY inconvenient, especially for a single mother of 3. I contacted corporate and will be seeking reimbursement for all moving expenses I incurred.

Ashwood burned down its own complexes twice in one year, having put over 30 families out. Some families were in both fires. While the place is more they tried putting an eviction on me but I fought it.W answered and they dropped it. Your $600 deposit is really $100 for deposit and $500 for risk fee meaning you only get back $100. The new woman there tried every way to get us after the fire but couldn't beat God and Angel you need a clue. Wreap what's sewed. Never forget that.

I’ve been a resident here for two years. First year was peaceful. Now there is new ownership that has taken over these apartments in the past year. I always paid rent on the fourth and never had an issue. Not until recently when I was charged with a $100 late fee charge for paying rent on the 4th. Now if you pay rent on the 4th it’s late. Today the water just mysteriously shut off at the whole complex without warning residents, this place is just money hungry because two of their buildings burned down this past year. My thing is don’t take advantage of the residents here take care of them it’s a good community here.

You need to call the leasing office to make a complaint. If this apartment complex has a corporate office you need to call them as well. Rats are unacceptable in anyone's living arrangement.
You have to go through the process
They have an online system, but they have just switched management. They are working on getting it back online now, but a lot of people are having problems sticking up for it. The site tells you to talk to leasing office. The leasing office doesn't help. They will tell you that corporate has to fix it. The n they lie to you and tell you that there is no number for corporate, but there is.
