Today my car was hit by an Uber driver from the back. I waited at the scene for 1.5 hours with bad back pains, but no police showed up. The Uber driver already left. Then I was told to file a report at the Dunwoody Police Department. I went there and waited for another hour. An officer showed up and refused to file for me. I was told to file a self report without a police case number.

Officer Guinevere Wiencek was called out to a parking lot accident that took place today. A lady had hit me reversing out the parking lot and dented my brand new expensive car. Instead of Wieneck coming up with a good resolution, she absolutely did nothing. She didn’t even ask for any of our driver’s license which I think is quite unprofessional of a police officer on duty. If older women are intimidated by a girl with a nice car, then just say that! Very sorry work.

Recently I had an incident requiring law enforcement involvement with Uber by the Dunwoody Police. Their assistance, attitude, and professionalism exceeded all levels of satisfaction. Every individual was incredibly prompt and understanding. Dunwoody residents- we are indeed fortunate to have such a Police Department.

Applicants for the Citizens on Patrol program must be graduates of the Dunwoody Police Department’s Citizens’ Police Academy. They will then go through a background and driving history check and, upon acceptance into the program, attend mandatory training on how to identify activities that would require law enforcement intervention, such as criminal activity, suspicious activity, or public nuisance hazards. Training will also include blocks of instruction on CPR and First Aid, traffic direction, incident de-escalation, and other pertinent topics. (AS)
