I had dinner here with my partner for my birthday celebration and it was impeccable. I was greeted with a lovely birthday card then seated. Our waiter was so helpful and attentive. When the kitchen forgot an item (we didn’t notice) for our oysters he noticed and fixed it. I appreciated him saying something even though we didn’t notice. The excellent service continued with a delicious dinner. The waiter brought out glasses of complimentary champagne for my birthday. It was so crisp and delicious! We ordered dessert and the waiter brought out complimentary cookies that the chef made. I can honestly say this was one of my best birthday dinners. I’m so glad we chose the Tabard Inn for this special dinner. As for the food, the menu has some special delights that I wouldn’t think would work, but they do. I hope to come back to DC and dine here again.
