Missed my connection because the green line was running 2 minutes slow and the yellow was running 2 minutes fast. Oh, and every escalator I needed was not running. Thanks WMATA.

I take the VRE in on the Fredericksburg line and love this station. Easy access to the Metro and the Smithsonian museums. I usually do a 20 minute walk to Capitol Hill. Most of the platform is covered for rainy days. In the winter months it can be cold and blustery in the evenings. I’m looking forward to the planned expansion and how the area around will rebound once the new Metro HQ opens up.

No parking at L'Enfant.
It is about 1/4 mile...the closest VRE station to the Cherry Trees...
Union Station is the primary for Amtrak. Very few stop at this. Only VRE and a few Amtrak trains that can be used by VRE passengers with step up ticket can use this station stop.
