Just so bad. I mean, literally the worst business I have ever had to deal with. My family has owned plots here for over 30 years and every single experience I have had speaking with the staff over the years has been unpleasant and unprofessional. Come on guys, people have lost their loved ones, how about an ounce of compassion just once?

My entire experience with this cemetery has been awful. The loss of my father has been incredibly traumatic and painful, and working with Gate of Heaven has only made it worse. I initially liked the counselor I worked with, who was helpful and kind despite being new to the job. However, she provided incorrect information regarding the owner of the account during the initial appointment, which led to issues once we went to design and order the grave marker. At that appointment, the on site manager was completely disrespectful to me and told me I didn’t have the authority to do anything, despite not having an issue taking almost $6k from me at the initial appointment (and my signature was on all those order forms). He was so rude to the point he made me cry, and was overall just very disrespectful, unprofessional and not compassionate — all traits that should be the bare minimum requirements to manager a cemetery. It turns out he didn’t even provide me with the correct information to be able to make an order, which was only rectified once I complained to the head of the CCAW. She was kind and acted like she cared, and provided the steps for me to order a marker. After paying another almost $3k…I was told I would be notified along the way of when the marker was installed, and that it would be 4-5 months to receive, something Ms. Lilliam Machado confirmed herself. Once I signed off on the proof on April 2, 2022 I heard absolutely nothing from the cemetery. I did visit my father’s grave a few times between April and June 2022, but the truth is I am still processing the loss and I don’t find it to be easy. Over Father’s Day weekend my sister went to visit his grave (I was out of town) and she asked if I knew the marker was installed. I said no, but I was going to follow up with them this week. So Gate of Heaven staff and CCAW leadership decided it was too much of a hassle to notify me and my family at any point during the production process through installation, despite once again giving me contrary information in person and saying I would be notified along the way. If anything, I would expect to be notified when the marker was installed! I am completely disgusted and appalled by their unprofessionalism and disregard for my family. Once they have your money they don’t seem to really care about you at all. If you are able, I suggest looking for a cemetery that truly cares about you and your loved ones. They have only caused me more heartache and any apologies ring hollow.
