Sadly it was a little confusing getting in the building. The people were very friendly though at least! The pastor spoke a very opinionated/paraphrased and rushed sermon and then spoke of how people probably thought Jesus was either demon possessed and a fruit cake or lunatic during his lifetime if they didn’t believe him…but at least we think he is our savior. This really offended my friend that struggles with mental health to use these terms so fluently. Terms such as lunatic and fruitcake. It was very upsetting because she is a new believer and I was hoping she would come back to church with me but this scared her away. I’m hoping we just caught him on a bad day and this is not how he is all the time. If this is how this pastor leads weekly by using the term “stupid” and “fruitcake” I am sad for this congregation. Either way, We won’t be back.
