My Father, Martin Brossman II and Uncle Ed McLean had great careers here and I got to co-op here in high school (the Field School). My Father worked in metal stress and ballistics testing and my uncle in lasers studies. My Father left in the 50ties and my Uncle retired from their a few years ago.

Where is the best place for interns to stay?

I recommend avoiding staying in DC as its rents are very expensive and NRL really isn't in a great spot for Metro. If you have a car, the New Carrollton in MD is relatively cheap or West of Arlington/Alexandria. If you have the money, Arlington is the best spot hands down.

You get to NRL via a combination of metro rail and metro bus. Take the green line to Anacostia then you can take the W5 express bus to the lab.
