Dr. Pilkington is a fantastic ENT; I go to him myself (throat/surgery) and our young daughter goes to him for ear issues. My primary care doctor referred me to him and now we have been going to him for years. He has a great, calming demeanor that I really appreciate and he clearly knows his stuff. It’s funny because on our neighborhood website someone asked for an ENT recommendation and I went on there to give him some kudos and several other people had beaten me to it. All around great doctor.

Ears were to be cleaned out but were not. Dr. Pilkington lazily pulls out a tool (similar to one that helps remove blackheads) from his jacket, scrapes out wax from my ear then wipes the wax on his jacket and removes with hand too. Disgusting! He spent no more than 2 min with me only to get an $80 bill (not including copay amount and deductible has been met). $80 for what!?? Wax is still impacted in my ears, no proper exam was done and he didn't clean my ears out as both me and PCP asked to be done. Very disappointed and will not be returning. There are other ENT specialists out there that are not lazy and attentive to patients needs that will get the job properly done.

No physician knows everything but most are humble enough to change their perspectives when the patient has recurrent issues. Dr Pilkington thinks he knows it all! He lacks empathy and has a very condescending attitude. He was upset at being “woken up at 11pm” during weeknight because I paged the on-call service and he happened to be on call. I’m a healthcare professional myself and I don’t think anyone should be a healthcare provider without having the passion to care for others. Dr Pilkington has been one of the worst physicians I have ever seen, both in terms of attitude and knowledge. He put me the same antibiotic for my infection for the second time in a row for months without any lab work. And when I complained about the persistent infection, I was the one to be blamed for not being patient enough!! I saw another ENT afterwards and the lab results determined that the antibiotic that he had proscribed would NEVER clear my infection ; no matter how patient I would be. Just like Dr P., the staff are very ignorant and rude.
